does anyone else think about how the current internet and social medias especially are barreling downhill right now and how the path for every major site is either to shut down due to a lack of profit and bad decisions or to become exactly like every other major site and how there’s no spaces left exclusively for adults or exclusively for kids and how it’s basically impossible to do anything anywhere in most places without social media or at the very least a phone on you at all times and how that means unless you put a massive amount of effort into safeguarding your privacy all of your information is auctioned off to the highest bidder at all times and how important information is paywalled and everything else is covered completely with ads and ads are inescapable even offline . does anyone else think about that and get really really mad or is that just me
why asre there two post buttons. why do i get little numbers next to 'home' and 'following' when btoh are giving me the exact same information. why is it that when you open the account view you have the exact same information on both sides of your screen. why is it that the activity popup obscuires the dashboard now instead of the 1000000 miles of empty space on my god damn desktop. did they not consider the concept of UI scaling at all?????
when i first saw people p[ostp about this i thought maybe they were overreacting because they hate twitter and change but like. whatever you think abotu the concept of 'putting all this shit on the left side of your screen' as a bold UI innovation or whatever in concept this shit is like. just straight up unfinished. like i legitimately dont understand how this was considered ready to roll out to users
we should all be friends and for a fun hangout we should uhm. destroy tumblr updates until they're normal again #online best friends
really funny that every website is in an arms race to make itself as bad as possible and immediately someone makes a firefox extension to fix it
